Nitride LEDs Laboratory



This laboratory is decorated with the following equipment:

  • Schlenk line connected to both vacuum pump and inert gase (Argon,        Nitrogen) tanks
  • Hot plate with digital screen with a capability to reach > 500 o C
  • Heating mantle with PID controlled temperature regulator
  • Vacuum pump
  • Dewar insulating container with gas trap inside
  • Non-refrigerated Hettich Universal 320 Centrifuge
  • Vortex
  • Ultrasonic bath

Heating mantle MS-MHT 402C: It has the capacity to raise the temperature up to 600 0 C with digital temperature control unit. The inner surface is made of glass fibers to resist high temperatures. It can be used to work in high temperatures which cannot be provided by other methods such as oil bath. Syringe Pump NE-1000: It holds 1 Syringe from micro-liter sizes up to 60 mL. It has a pumping rate  from 0.73 µL/hr (1 mL syringe) to 2100 mL/hr (60 mL syringe). It is used to transfer the liquid with a constant rate. Drying Oven Nüve FN500P: It has a 120 liter volume. Temperature range is between +5 0 C to 250 0 C and it has a digital PID control unit with micro processor. Homogen temperature distribution and is provided by natural air circulation.


Our laboratory is under construction. However, we are currently utilizing the facilities of two research center: GÜNAM and UNAM
